Dear All,
It was really great meeting you last Friday and sharing so many insights about what Photoresearch implies within your DesignThinking practices and projects!
I would like to thank you for your enthusiastic participation and inspiring contributions!
As promised, I include here a Wetransfer link with the visual resources.pdf + some extra goodies for you.
I also remind you that you have two TASKS / CHALLENGES for the upcoming weeks:
1 CHALLENGE (DEADLINE: JANUARY 10, the latest)
Each group has to publish on the Blog a post with a compilation of their impressions/feedback of our first session. You should write in it:
A summary of your first exercise contribution (What lens-based culture, understood as image-making and image sharing is all about today).
How you have described and envision as a group the field of relations around the Camera (Based on the drawing we did on the blackboard)
How you envision the role of photoresearch in your project: What expectations you have from it (Including some useful contributions you have received from your colleagues).
This CHALLENGE POST is meant to help you map out your thoughts&expectations on photoresearch before embarking to their incorporation in your project.
2 TASK (To be presented in class during our second session-workshop on JANUARY 27)
Work on the visual strategy of your project, gathering or creating images using the parameters we established and new ones.
Present in class a selection of 50 images minimum on paper (separate image, not in the same folio). You can also bring along graphic boards, texts that will be used as captions, a graphic presentation of your argument and narrative.
You are free to articulate your own groups, arguments and narrative, justifying how it grounds your communication strategy towards your client.
You are also free to use your screens/ipads, but without abandoning completely the on print format.
In the coming weeks, keep a diary of all the research process you will follow, commenting upon difficulties, new ideas and how you decodify your research material. We will discuss about it in class.
I look forward to seeing the outcome of this process. And we will work it further during our workshop.
Please, make sure to follow this forum thread. I will be posting some useful links related with Photoresearch.
Also, let me know here or via message if there is any doubt or if you wish us to arrange any group mentoring session after Christmas.
I look forward to your input.
Hasta pronto,
Natasha

Hello everyone!
2021 is here and I hope this finds you well!
Thanks to the Mindbenders, Forward and Dinno who have already posted their comments on Photoresearch in our BLOG.
We look forward to the contributions of the rest of the groups!
My advice: Take some time to check the posts of your colleagues and my comments. They are useful to all of you.
Feel add in their feed any questions you have before our class which is in a fortnight.
