Do you have a Business Mindset?
AFTER SOME YEARS OF PUSHING MARKETING AND COMPETITION, WE REALIZE THAT MORE AND MORE THE SUCCESS OF MANY COMPANIES, IS NOT ONLY BASED ON THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE THAT THEY OFFER, BUT IN THE WAY IN WHICH THEY EXECUTE THEIR PROCESSES, MAINTAIN THEIR RELATIONSHIPS, DIALOGUE WITH THEIR USERS AND INVOLVE THEMSELVES IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE SOCIETY THAT SURROUNDS THEM.
The Mindset and the Dialog become key in an era of discourse and endless storytelling. The role that innovation has played in recent years in the transformation of businesses has led us to explore Multiple mindsets and ways of understanding business: blue oceans, agile methodologies, new segments in the bottom of the pyramid, design based methodologies, new capitals in the form of information and data, and an infinite network of relationships and perspectives with our value chain. It seems like our rational approach to development and exchange is not working that well anymore and we are having a slow awakening into more humanistic, call it social or call it more holistic view of businesses as an element of the Human Ecosystem.
How do we transition from a fixed mindset into a flexible and more organic mindset that does not fear failure and does not constrain to formulas? How can we develop our capacity for creation, learning and capitalization of knowledge?
Each year and for a whole week we explore new possibilities to think and do business in innovative ways. Applying new perspectives and mindsets to existing businesses or creating new opportunities from them.
This year, we challenged our participants explore and transform their businesses and business ideas into several mindsets to have a fresh look on them. We dived into the mindsets and strategies of StartUps with Thomas Ohr from StartUp Europe, we will learn about the world of clusters and family businesses with Joan Marti from Acció – Generalitat de Catalunya and developed negotiation skills through the Empathic Negotiation Canvas created by DesignThinkers Group Austria.
For 5 afternoons we shared ideas, workshops and talks with John Mark Williams Head of Employer Engagement UK at ACCA, Albert Farré from Novartis, .José Alberto Gonzalez Creative Director at Zumex, Matthias Schneider from Newco, Cristóbal Gracia from Oui-Share, Samer Yamani CEO at Creative Dialog Association and Verónica Kuchinov curator at the Circular Economy European Summit.
This and more will happen next year again, when we meet in Barcelona at Elisava University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona Pompeu Fabra University.
If you want to understand, explore and grow your Business Mindset we are happy to welcome you in our online sessions at designthinkers group club
